Terms and conditions
We ask all new participants to complete a health questionnaire before they can start booking sessions. It’s important that you answer this as honestly as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate any requirements you may have. We keep all questionnaires private, and only disclose relevant information to specific instructors if it will help ensure your safety during a particular session. If we need to, we'll ask you for a doctor’s note from your GP. We’ll let you know when you can start booking activities.
We don’t allow drop-ins so you need to pre-book all of the sessions you want to attend. You need to book each session individually. We usually open bookings a week in advance, but paid activities often open earlier. You need to book your own sessions - we can’t take bookings on behalf of others. If your friends or family want to attend a session with you, they’ll need to send their own booking email. We’ll send a booking confirmation to each person. We have waiting lists with 3 spaces for each session. If you try to book an activity that’s fully booked, we’ll add you to the waiting list and contact you if a space becomes available. Please let us know if you want to be removed from the waiting list so we can add someone else.
Please be aware that refunds are not available once a payment or donation is received. We can however give you a credit to another Trans Can Sport activity (valid for 1 year), if your cancellation is received 72 hours before the event. If Trans Can Sport or the service provider cancels for whatever reason a credit will also be given. We will not be responsible for any costs incurred from travel arrangements. We recommend that you book flexible or refundable travel options.
If you need to cancel a session, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice. This will give us chance to contact anyone on our waiting list to fill the space. If participants don’t attend sessions they’ve booked, or cancel with short notice, it often means their space can’t be filled in time. If you regularly cancel with short notice or don’t attend sessions you’re booked in for, Trans Can Sport can limit or block you from booking sessions. Safety is the priority of Trans Can Sport. Sessions will go ahead in all weather with the exception of high winds or otherwise dangerous weather conditions. If this is the case we will endeavour to cancel the day before but sometimes we are unable to predict this and aim to do it 2 hours prior to the session at the latest. Please pay attention to your emails on the day of the session, so that you stay up to date on any adjustments made to the activity. If we do need to cancel a session we will provide a credit for you to use towards another activity.
Online fitness sessions
Trans Can Sport online sessions, currently take place on the platform Zoom. Booking and cancellation sessions are the same previously mentioned. Due to restrictions to Public Liability Insurance, these sessions are only available to individuals who are resident in the UK. You must be in the UK during the session. Participants must ensure that they keep their cameras on at all times to ensure the instructors are able to check their technique. Participants are responsible for keeping their workout space clear and safe. Please be aware that you are taking all responsibility for your own wellbeing when taking part in Trans Can Sport online sessions.
Safety and security
You attend all activities at your own risk, and if you have an issue such as injury, damage, or loss, you should talk directly with the instructor or facility at the time. Trans Can Sport can’t be responsible for accidents or injuries, or loss or damage to property. Please read carefully the terms and conditions of each activity so that you understand the waiver you are asked to sign. If you’re concerned about this we recommend that you take out appropriate insurance cover yourselves for such uninsured losses.
